grocery store owner scammed by neighbor in Bhopal's Kolar over investment in an online trading company

Bhopal: The Kolar police have registered a case of cheating against a neighbor on the complaint of a grocery store owner. The grocery store owner told the police that the accused had trapped him in a scam and taken Rs. 22,000 in the name of investment in an online trading company. He was told that he would start making a profit within a week, but even after a year, he did not make any profit. When the grocery store owner asked for his money back, the accused refused to return it.
According to the police, Parmal Singh Sanakhedi, aged 43, lives in Kolar, and his house also has a grocery store. Saurabh Singh Parihar's daughter used to come to their shop to buy goods. One day, Saurabh Singh Parihar also went to the shop with the girl. During the conversation, Saurabh told Parmal Singh that he runs an e-commerce company. Many companies are registered on the e-commerce portal. Saurabh also said that he works on the portal and earns good profit. He took Parmal Singh in confidence and talked about earning a profit from e-commerce. In 2022, he invited Parmal Singh to DB Mall. He introduced him to other people there and gave him some books to read. Parmal Singh transferred Rs. 22,000 to his account. He was taken out on the pretext of training for about two months. Even after two months, when he did not get any profit, Parmal Singh demanded his money back, but Saurabh Singh refused to return it
