Gwalior: Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior court has also imposed a fine while awarding four years' imprisonment to four accused of cheating in the constable recruitment examination. There are 2 examinees and two solvers are involved. The four accused have been sent to jail after being sentenced by the court.
Vyapam had organised constable recruitment exam on September 15, 2013, in which the examination center of Anil Kumar and Jagdish Kumar Jat was lying in IPS College, Shivpuri Link Road. Both of them did not turn up for the exam and sent a solver in their place. When the photo was being matched at the examination center, the photo mismatch happened.
This was informed to the Kampu police station. When the police interrogated both the solvers, they told that instead of Anil Kumar, Umesh Chandra Sonkar and Pawan Kumar Meena had come to take the exam instead of Jagdish Kumar Jat.
The matter was handed over from the police to the CBI on the orders of the Supreme Court. CBI did additional investigation and presented the challan and the trial was completed in the court. Significantly, solver Umesh Sonkar is a resident of Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh, Pawan Kumar Meena is a resident of Kota district of Rajasthan. While the examinees Jagdish Kumar Jat and Anil Kumar both are residents of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh. While sentencing the four accused to 4-4 years imprisonment, the court imposed a fine of Rs 5100-5100 on Umesh and Pawan, while fined Rs 3500-3500 on Anil Kumar and Jagdish.
