Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Acknowledges Misuse of CM Helpline, Calls for System Improvement

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh - During a Civil Service Day program organized at the Academy of Administration in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan admitted that the CM Helpline is being misused and people are being blackmailed through false complaints. He emphasized the need to improve the system.
Addressing the Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service officers present at the event, Chouhan advised them to stay away from arrogance and to remember that they are public servants. He urged everyone to have zero ego and to focus on serving the public. The Chief Minister shared his love for hugging a man covered in dust and sweat, emphasizing the importance of being humble.
In addition to Chouhan's speech, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains also spoke on the occasion. He emphasized the long tradition of civil service in India and the need to reflect on the past, present, and future of public service. Bains acknowledged that the demand for public audit and scrutiny has increased and that it is essential to publicize and explain the good work done by the administrative system.
The Civil Service Day program was also an occasion to celebrate the achievements and successes of civil service in India. Despite the challenges faced, the administrative system has shown remarkable resilience and efficiency, and the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Chief Secretary expressed their gratitude and pride in working with such a capable team.
The acknowledgement of the misuse of the CM Helpline by the Chief Minister is an important step towards ensuring the transparency and effectiveness of the administrative system. It is hoped that the system will be improved to prevent further abuses and to better serve the people of Madhya Pradesh
