Forest Department's fying squad seizes truck carrying 38 teak ingots from Ashta, accused arrested from Parvaliya

Bhopal/Ashta: On the basis of information received from the informer, the flying squad of the Forest Department seized a Bolero pickup truck carrying 38 teak ingots illegally from Ashta and arrested a person. SDO RS Bhadoria said that on the basis of the information received from the informer, when the Bolere pickup MP-09 GF 0248 coming from Ashta towards Bhopal was stopped at 4 am on Thursday and checked, 38 teak ingots were found in it. After this, the accused driver Gangaram was arrested and interrogated, but the paper ingots were not recovered from him. On this, he is being interrogated by the flying squad of the Forest Department after taking him into custody. The value of the recovered wood is said to be one lakh rupees.

Accused arrested from Parvaliya

Bhadauria told that the accused is a resident of Daulatpur in Ichhawar tehsil of Sehore. Even before this, there have been reports of illegal teak harvesting from this area. On Wednesday night also the informer had informed about the illegal transportation of teak in a vehicle. After which the flying squad in-charge Anil Kumar Sharma had asked the team to monitor the arrest of the accused by being stationed at Parvaliya. As soon as the accused entered Bhopal limits, his vehicle was intercepted and searched, in which teak was found to be being transported illegally. On which the team took action as per the rules and registered a forest crime case against the accused.

Interrogation of accused

When the Bolero pickup driver, who was illegally transporting teak, was asked for papers in custody, he could not give the information. After this, he is being interrogated in custody. From where did the accused bring the teak and where was he going to deliver it? It is being verified. After this further action will be taken.
