Bhopal Cyber Crime Police arrests 3 Jaipur based fraudsters, used to lure victims through redeeming credit card's cashback points texts

Bhopal: The Cyber Crime police of the Capital of Madhya Pradesh has managed to hold three accused from Jaipur, Rajasthan of the gang who committed fraud in the name of redeeming credit card cashback points. These arrested accused used to send messages to redeem credit card cashback points. The victim when clicked on the link given to him through message, a page which looked like any normal bank's page would be opened.
The complainant in this case was cheated to a tune of Rs.1,35,000/- in the name of redeeming credit card cashback points. On 28 October 2022, complainant Rakesh Kumar (changed name as per the cyber police of Bhopal) resident of Bhopal gave a written complaint application in the Cyber Crime Branch District Bhopal that on 27.10.2022, a message was received to redeem the cash bank point of the HDFC Bank Credit Card, A link was given in the message to redeem cashbank points. On clicking the link, a page opened on which the bank's mono was printed, then on entering the credit card number and CVV number by the complainant in that page, the credit cards of the complainant 95000, 40000, totaling Rs.1,35,000/- were fraudulently deducted. On the basis of the facts and technical information received in the complaint application, the crime number 151/2022 Section 419,420 of IPC sections were registered and taken into consideration against the users of the bank account and mobile number used in the fraud.
Accused Details:
1- Mohit Sharma resident of Jaipur, MBA, who used to send message to redeem the cashback points of the credit card of the complainant.
2-Bhagendra Sharma, resident of Jaipur, 12th, who used to arrange data for sending message to redeem the cashback points of the credit card of the complainant.
3-Rakesh Kumar Saini, resident of Jaipur Rajasthan, 12th, who used to provide technical support for sending message to redeem cashback points of the credit card of the complainant.
