Corona graph increases in MP, 1210 new positive cases within 12 days

Bhopal: For the seventh consecutive day and on 11 out of 12 days of this month so far, more than 100 new Covid cases were reported in the state as 116 people tested positive for the infection on Tuesday.
In 12 days of this month so far, 1210 new Covid cases have been reported which average to more than 117 new cases a day. In entire June, 1786 new cases were reported which averaged to around 59 new cases a day. This month, it was only on July 5 that less than 100 new cases were reported this month with 98 new cases, on rest of the days, more than 100 cases have been reported daily in July. Against these 116 new Covid-19 cases reported on Tuesday, only 97 people recovered from the disease.
Thus the number of active patients increased from 838 on July 11 to 857 on July 11. From 136 active cases on March 31, there are now 857 active cases.
New infections were reported from 17 of the 52 districts of the state.
Among these 17-districts,61 new cases were reported from Indore, 15 new cases were reported from Bhopal, 13 new cases were reported from Jabalpur, 4 new cases were reported from Narsinghpur, 3 new cases were reported from each of Gwalior, Harda and Sagar districts and 2 new cases were reported from each of Hoshangabad, Ratlam and Sehore districts. Besides these districts, one new case was reported from each of Burhanpur, Chhattarpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Mandla, Raisen, Rajgarh and Tikamgarh districts.
Positivity rate of 2.2% was reported in the state. Positivity rate is the number of people testing positive out of every 100 samples tested. Only 5157 samples were tested in the state. On the brighter side, 97 people recovered, taking the count of those who have recovered so far from Covid-19 to 1034176.
