Madhya Pradesh Air pollution: Like the national capital Delhi and regions of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, with the arrival of winters, air pollution is increasing continuously in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. This year the situation is worse than last year. The air quality in the city has worsened in the last few days and in many areas it has gone into the poor category. The AQI (Air Quality Index) (AQI) of the city is increasing continuously. The reason for this is the change in weather, farmers burning stubble in the fields and vehicles. According to the Air Quality Index in the whole world Bhopal comes at 96th position with poor air quality worlwide at a global level .
Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board Regional Officer Brijesh Sharma said on air pollution in Bhopal that, according to AQI, pollution is being found in the air after Diwali. It is increasing due to the arrival of cold weather and dust emanating from vehicles. Pollution is also increasing due to stubble burning. Increasing number of respiratory patients has also been recorded in the capital.
According to reports, the number of respiratory-related patients in the city hospitals has increased due to deteriorating air quality. Bad air causes many respiratory and lung diseases. Due to the dust flying from the roads, the AQI in Bhopal has reached close to 300. The AQI in Bhopal's environment complex and TT Nagar is constantly falling in the poor category. The AQI was recorded at 315 on November 1. The air quality has deteriorated not only in Bhopal but in many districts of the state. It also includes Singrauli, Gwalior, Indore and Ujjain.
The department's data shows that if attention is not given to improving the air of the city and necessary steps are not taken, then gradually the situation will worsen and the condition of Bhopal will also become like the most polluted cities of the country. Explain that AQI between zero to 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 satisfactory, 101 to 200 moderate, 201 to 300 poor, 301 to 400 very poor and 401 to 500 as severe. goes.
