MP lawyers given holiday on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, holiday to be adjusted on other days

Jabalpur. The lawyers of the state have got the holiday of August 11 on the occasion of Raksha bandhan on the condition that it will have to be adjusted by working on other days. High Court lawyers will work on 3rd September and District Court lawyers will work on 17th September. On this basis the demand of High Court and District Bar has been fulfilled. The main bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Jabalpur and the division benches of Indore and Gwalior, as well as in all the subordinate courts of the state, have been declared a holiday on Thursday, August 11 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan festival. On the orders of Chief Justice Ravi Malimath, Registrar General Ramkumar Choubey issued an order to this effect on Tuesday, August 9. The adjustment of this holiday will be done by keeping the working day on September 3 in the High Court and on September 17 in the district courts. With the duly issuance of the order, the demands of High Court Bar Association, Jabalpur President Sanjay Verma and Secretary Paritosh Trivedi and District Bar Association, Jabalpur President RK Singh Saini and Secretary Rajesh Tiwari were fulfilled. He had earlier underlined the need to declare August 11 as a holiday by taking seriously the demand of the lawyers of the High Court and the District Court. In this regard, a written message was sent to the Chief Justice through the Registrar General. Intervention was also sought from the Chairman of MP State Bar Council, Dr. Vijay Kumar Choudhary. A letter was also written by the High Court Bar President Sanjay Verma and Secretary Paritosh Trivedi regarding the inconvenience caused to the lawyers due to the termination of the old case adjustment facility. It is hoped that an appropriate decision will be taken in this regard soon. The High Court and the District Bar have expressed their gratitude for the fulfillment of the demand. He has promised full cooperation to the High Court and District Courts which are burdened with pending cases.
