Joint team of Crime Branch & Habibganj Police in the Capital nabs duo-robbers who fled after snatching elderly women's chain in broad daylight

Crime branch Bhopal police nabs accused involved in robbery with the help of Ps Habibganj Police, pair of brother-in-law who robbed the gold chain of an elderly woman
Bhopal: On date 21.01.2023, complainant Rajendra Batra father Rameshchandra Batra age 60 years, resident of E-4 Arera Colony, Habibganj Bhopal reported at Police Station Habibganj Bhopal that at around 11.30 am, 02 unknown scooty riders came to the house and said to his mother 82-year-old Manju Batra saying they were called for setting up electricity fitting. On seeing the opportunity, both accused snatched the gold chain from the complainant's mother's neck and ran away. Crime No. 37/23 Section – 392 was registered in Police Station Habibganj Bhopal on the report of the complainant. The footage of CCTV cameras of shops, weekly bars, hotels were checked by the Crime Branch team on the way to reach the spot. In the footage, 02 boys were found roaming after the incident in a gray colored scooter and left for Hoshangabad via Bagsevania Misrod.
The accused were seen going towards Hoshangabad, Itarsi Betul from the cameras located in Hoshangabad Road, on the basis of the footage, the Crime Branch team reached Betul, where the Crime Branch team completed the identification process by showing the footage, after identifying the accused, 2 of the accused were arrested. The names were disclosed as Pawan Vishwakarma father Shiv Prasad Vishwakarma age 30 years resident Khanjanpur Dhuniwale Baba Ji behind Betul and the other accused Nitin Vishwakarma father Dilip Vishwakarma age 35 years resident Bharat Bharti Gond Mohalla Plot no. 17 district Betul came in front.
Investigation Unfolds Clearance
The accused told during interrogation that Nitin Vishwakarma, originally a resident of Betul, had gone to Bhopal, Nitin's in-laws house in Neelbadh along with his partner Pawan Vishwakarma. Both the accused work at a fabrication shop in Betul and Nagpur. Both of them are used to drinking alcohol every day. In case of non-availability of work, the incidents of robbery have been carried out by the accused in the past when they needed money to drink alcohol and indulge in other luxuries. On 21.01.23, when the accused Pawan came to his in-laws house, he along with his accomplice Nitin made a plan to commit robbery. Raiki in Habibganj area, Arera Colony, carried out the incident of looting the peace of an old woman and then left for Betul.
