Fast Track court to pronounce sentence to two convicts in the Billabong School Rape case tomorrow on Monday

Bhopal: The fast track court yesterday gave its verdict in the case of rape of a three-year-old girl by driver Hanumant Jatav in the bus of Billabong High International School in the capital. The hearing of the matter was completed on Tuesday. The court had reserved the decision of the case till Saturday. While hearing the case on Saturday, the court convicted the main accused bus driver Hanumant Jatav and female attendant Urmila Sahu. The court will sentence both these accused on Monday 12th December.
Hanumant Jatav, the bus driver of Billabong School, is accused of raping the girl on September 8. In this, even the female attendant Urmila Sahu present in the bus did not save the girl child. In this case, the girl's parents had complained to the school management. The school management, not taking the matter seriously, gave a clean chit to the driver as well. After which, on the complaint of the girl's parents, the police registered a case on September 12. The accused driver and the female attendant were arrested. Taking cognizance of this matter, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had also expressed displeasure. After which, on the instructions of Minister of State for School Education Inder Singh Parmar, the School Education Department had also constituted an inquiry committee.
The trial of this case is going on in the Fast Track Special Court (POCSO). Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police presented a 242-page challan within 20 days on September 29. In the same case, the guardian of another school girl also reached the court and recorded her statement. In the said case, after the testimony of 32 people, the court has given its verdict. On behalf of the victim, Special Public Prosecution Officer Manisha Patel presented final arguments in her favor in the court yesterday.
