Traders furious over unethical working of Annupur’s new SP, shops across the districts closed

Annupur: After the posting of the new Superintendent of Police, action is being taken all over the district to curb illegal liquor, but the licensees of English liquor shops operating across the district are also being victimized, while those selling illegal liquor. Liquor of their batch number is not available with the traders. Despite that, a case is registered against the valid liquor license contractor and his employees. The license holders from across the district have expressed their intention not to operate the shop by handing over a letter to the collector. Shops across the district including Anuppur, Kotma, Rajnagar, Rajendragram, Chachai, Bijuri will remain closed.
Police is taking hasty action:
Looking at the developments arising out of this whole matter, it can be guessed that the police is taking action, but is so hasty in the proceedings, that even the rules and regulations are being bypassed, if illegal liquor is found anywhere, the matter is not investigated. Action against the licensee is taken directly by registering an FIR against the contractor and his employees, while regularly getting the batch number and keeping complete information before the collector is the actual and complete process, but the on-the-spot police proceedings have raised a question mark somewhere. A trader have told Jansampark Life that the new SP is acting as if he is the boss of this district, he does not cares about the rules and regulations. It is the work of the collector to act against the license but the SP is becoming nosy in all situations.
