Proposal to withdraw increased tax and divide the city into 21 zones strongly opposed in Bhopal

Bhopal: In the first meeting of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, there was a ruckus that erased the identity of Bhopal. Congress party councilors did not even allow the speech of the mayor
As soon as the Bhopal Municipal Corporation meeting started, the councilors of the Congress Party started a ruckus. Congress Leader of Opposition Shabista Zaki did not allow the speech of the mayor and started opposing the agenda of the zone committees. After this, Councilor Mr. All the councilors including Sagir, Azizuddin, Yogendra Singh Guddu Chauhan also jumped in the fray. They reached in front of the Speaker's seat with posters in their hands. In response, the councilors of the Bharatiya Janata Party also started creating ruckus.
President of Bhopal Municipal Corporation could not control the ruckus
MIC members Ravindra Yeti, Manoj Rathore, Rajesh Hingorani termed the tradition of creating such ruckus even before the mayor's speech started. Bhopal Municipal Corporation President Kishan Suryavanshi failed to convince the commotion councilors and after some time walked out of the house, due to which the proceedings of the house were adjourned.
The ruckus was the target in the Bhopal Municipal Corporation meeting.
At the beginning of the proceedings of the House, which started after about 20 minutes, Congress objected to the mike being switched off. After this, he again reached in front of the Speaker's seat. He was adamant on the agenda of the zone committees. Meanwhile, the MIC member Yeti started telling the rules, while on the other hand the Congress councilor was speaking to the president Suryavanshi regarding tax, license fee etc. Speaker Suryavanshi advised the councilors, but the councilors again started a ruckus. Shortly after, he sat on a dharna in front of the Speaker's chair. Overall, the goal of the councilors in the first meeting of the council was not to discuss the agenda but to create a ruckus.
The date of election of zone committees in Bhopal Municipal Corporation will be announced soon.
Mayor Malti Rai had to come to the ground amid the uproar. He started the discussion regarding the election of zone committees. He demanded from the chairman to announce the date of election of zone committees soon. He also talked about implementing the decision taken in the MIC meeting. After the mayor's speech, the commotion started again. Leader of Opposition Zaki protested against increasing the property and water tax. MIC member Yeti took the stand for increasing the tax. On this issue both the sides again came face to face. Congress councilors surrounded the chair for the third time. Congress councilors were adamant on withdrawing the tax hike. They also raised slogans like 'dictatorship will not work'.
Things to note that after the meeting of the Municipal Council was adjourned indefinitely without discussion, the councilors of the Congress Party and the Leader of the Opposition also stopped the ruckus and went to their respective homes. No demonstration, fast or campaign was launched to withdraw the increased tax.
