Jabalpur: Madhya Pradesh High Court has got seven new judges. After taking oath of all these, the number of judges in the High Court of the state has increased to 37. At present, there are a total of 53 sanctioned posts of judges, out of which 16 posts are still vacant. Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Ravi Malimath administered the oath to the newly appointed 7 judges.The oath-taking ceremony took place in the South Block Auditorium of the High Court. During this, the family members of the judges who took oath were also present. According to the information, the High Court Collegium headed by the Chief Justice had sent seven names to the Supreme Court Collegium. The Supreme Court Collegium, after considering the names, approved them on April 13 and recommended making them High Court judges. After the approval of the President, the Ministry of Law and Justice had issued a notification on Thursday. Even though 7 judges have been appointed in the High Court today, the number of judges in the Madhya Pradesh High Court will not remain the same, because this year 6 judges will retire. Have to be According to the information, Justice Virendra Singh has recently retired in the Madhya Pradesh High Court on April 14, while Justice Anjali Pallo on May 18, Justice Arun Sharma on July 28, Justice Nandita Dubey on September 16, Justice Rajendra Verma on June 30, Justice Deepak Aggarwal on September 20 And Satyendra Singh will retire on 23 October.
