MP Govt implements school bag policy, class wise weight of books decided

Madhya Pradesh: Now school children in MP will not have to carry heavy school bags. With this, after returning from school, you will not have to be busy doing homework full time at home. The Ministry of School Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh has implemented the school bag policy. In this it has been decided that the weight of the bag will be for the child of which class. Along with this, it has also been determined that how much time homework (homework limit fix) will be given to the child of which class.
Pramod Singh, Deputy Secretary, School Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh has issued orders in this regard. In the order issued, it has been said that in the implementation of the School Bag Policy 2020 issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India with a view to the implementation of the National Education Policy, in all the government / non-government and aided schools of the state. Guidelines are circulated for the school bags of the students studying. Under this, the class wise weight of books for the students is determined as follows –
1.6 to 2.2 kg for the first
1.6 to 2.2 kg for the second
1.7 to 2.5 kg for the third
1.7 to 2.5 kg for the fourth
1.7 to 2.5 kg for fifth
2.0 to 3.0 kg for Sixth
2.0 to 3.0 kg for seventh
2.5 to 4.0 kg for VIII
2.5 to 4.5 kg for ninth
2.5 to 4.5 kg for 10th class
The subject for class XI decided by the school management committee on the basis of stream.
For class XII, decided by the school management committee on the basis of the subject stream.
